The El Tovar Hotel
Built 1905 by the Fred Harvey Company in conjunction with the Santa Fe Railway. This was the northern terminus of the Grand Canyon Railway.
Saturday afternoon - the hopi house
Designed by Mary Colter, built by the Fred Harvey Company in 1904. The Hopi House purpose is to be a market for Native American art and crafts.
Building intended to resemble a traditional Hopi pueblo.
Verkamp’s Visitor Center
Built in 1906 by Ohioan John George Verkamp as Verkamp’s Curio Store.
The Verkamp family operated the store for more than a century and in 2008 the National Park Service purchased the building and re-opened as a visitor center.
